Learner as maker

Web2.0 marks the empowerment of the individual user. There will be far-reaching effects on education also. The shift of control in the learning arena, to mention one effect, from teachers and institutions to students has only just started. The distinction between who teaches and who learns will blur more and more – the Net as an inescapable learning environment makes us all permanent learners, and more active learners than ever before. The new learner is not just a learner but a maker as well.
